Hi, I’m Mandy – a travel and food writer with an insatiable curiosity and a passport that’s seen its fair share of adventures.
From the time I was a little girl, I was captivated by the idea of seeing the world. I’d spend hours lost in books and documentaries about faraway places, promising myself that one day I’d go there. And now? I’m making good on that promise.
My journey has taken me across 46 countries (so far – I’m definitely not done yet!). I spent time working as a European tour guide in Germany and Austria, and I’ve called the UK home as well. My travels across Europe include Austria, France, Germany, Belgium, Prague, and many others.
In Asia, I’ve explored India, Thailand, China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and more – with a few exciting destinations still on my list. I’ve also traveled extensively throughout the United States, visited Canada, soaked up the sun in the Caribbean, and explored the beauty of Costa Rica.
Good food is always a priority when I travel. I love seeking out great local spots, trying regional specialties, and finding those meals you remember long after the trip is over. I’m also a bit of an adrenaline junkie—I’ve jumped off the Stratosphere in Las Vegas, wing-walked over the Cotswolds, and zip-lined through rainforests. If it gets my heart racing, I’m in.
As an advanced diver, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to dive with manta rays in the Maldives, dolphins in Jamaica, and thresher sharks in the Philippines. Those underwater moments are some of the most awe-inspiring experiences of my life.
